I found this lodging through an ad pop-up on TripAdvisor. The picture that popped up looked exactly like the type of place we love to stay in. The reviews were excellent. I called the lodging directly and spoke with the manager, Chris. I explained the type of accommodations I was looking for, and he told me which of the rooms would suit our needs. He took my booking over the telephone and he sent me an email confirmation.
The property is surrounded by beautiful trees, and the river is at the back of the property. We stayed in cabin 29, which is across the street from the main lodging. It has two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was mid-week, after labor day, and there was no one else staying in the cabins, so it was very quiet.
The cabin was perfect for eating breakfast and packing lunches. We loved having 2 bathrooms. The swimming pool was heated and the temperature was very comfortable. We floated in tubes that had been laying next to the pool (this was actually one of the highlights of our week’s vacation). I enjoyed sitting in the chairs on the cabin’s private deck. We walked to the neighboring restaurant and had an excellent fish dinner. We took a walk across the highway in one of Lake Delton’s There are numerous videos in the office, which provided our evenings entertainment.
I wish we could have stayed longer.
